A separate organization from the "Wyandot Tracers" genealogical society above. Founded 1929; housed in the McConnell mansion with one of Ohio's largest Native American artifact collections.

The "Tracers" name and "Historical Society" name are easy to mix up — confirm which one holds what you're looking for before visiting.

Births and deaths 1908–present held locally (and, since 2010, can issue any Ohio birth certificate). Records from 1867–1908 are at the Probate Court. Earlier records route to the Ohio Department of Health or Ohio History Connection.

Land: Congress Lands

Most of Wyandot County's land was federal Congress Lands, surveyed in townships and sections and first sold through U.S. land offices. The first buyer of each tract received a federal patent.
